Hiking to Tarebhir: A Fun-Filled Adventure

Nepal is a beautiful country blessed with stunning mountains, lush greenery, and scenic hiking trails. The country is known for its natural beauty, rich culture, and vibrant festivals. Every year, thousands of tourists wander to Nepal to explore its many treasures and experience its unique charm. One of the most popular activities to do in Nepal is hiking, and there are countless hiking trails in the country, each with its own unique beauty and charm. Recently, we had the opportunity to hike to Tarebhir, Narayanthan Danda, which is located on the outskirts of the Kathmandu Valley. It was an experience of a lifetime, filled with entertainment, adventure, and memories to cherish forever.

Our journey started from Thamel, a bustling tourist hub in the heart of Kathmandu. We, the entire team of Wongchhu Peak Promotion and Makalu-e-Traders took a cab to Jagdol and hiked to Tarebhir, Narayanthan Danda. The hiking route was breathtakingly beautiful, with lush greenery and a cool breeze making it an absolute pleasure to walk. At times, we found the trail easy to follow, but at other times, it was quite challenging. As we hiked further, we were greeted with breathtaking views of the Kathmandu Valley, home to millions of people. The hustle and bustle of the city could be seen from a distance. The views were simply stunning, and we couldn't help but stop and take a few pictures. As we reached our destination, it was almost past evening, and we missed the sunset. However, we had the chance to witness the city lights from our campsite, and it was a moment of magic. We set up our campfire, and the fun began. We danced, sang, and barbecued, and it was an absolute blast. The peaceful surroundings and the company of friends made the experience even more enjoyable.

The next day was Holi, which was the main objective for hiking. Holi is the festival of colors, and we were lucky enough to be there to celebrate it. Holi is one of the most popular festivals in Nepal, and it's a time when people come together to celebrate with colors and have fun. We played a small folk game, ‘Topi Lukaai (a popular Nepali game), and Mrs. Rama Lamsal, one of the core member of Wongchhu Peak Promotion, became the champion who was then handed a wonderful gift from Nirvana. Asking her experience regarding the game she stated, “I used to be an undefeated champ in my school days. It feels glad this spark is still in me.” We enjoyed the festival to the fullest, and it was a delightful experience.

Although we were exhausted from all the fun and adventure, our memories refreshed us as we started our journey back to home. The trip to Tarebhir, Narayanthan Danda, was an unforgettable experience, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure in Nepal. The stunning views, the peaceful surroundings, and the warmth of the people will stay with you forever.
