Ghandruk Trek

Ghandruk Trek

The Ghandruk Trek is a perfect trekking choice for those who are in Nepal for a shorter period or want to mix a fairly short trek with other activities in Nepal. Ghandruk (Nepali: घान्द्रुक) is a town and Village Development Committee in Kaski District in the Gandaki Zone of Nepal. It is a popular place for treks in Nepal's Annapurna range (especially for trekking in Annapurna Base camp), with numerous trails and possibilities for accommodation. Spectacular Himalayan panorama in the Annapurna can be seen from Ghandruk such as South Annapurna, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli and Machapuchhre. The Ghandruk trek begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara and on the way to Ghandruk crossing Nayapul. It is the road to Annapurna Base Camp and Poon Hill. Since Ghandruk is populated by the people of Gurung, an old Gurung museum is also the attraction of this trek. This Ghandruk Trip is a blend of local culture and heritage with excellent mountain panoramic views.
