Mardi Himal Trek

The Mardi Himal Trek is an excellent option for those of us who are looking for a shorter journey and a trekking experience off the beaten path in the quietest parts of Nepal's Annapurna zone. Mardi Himal trekking, situated just east of the Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of Nepal's most popular trekking destinations. The Mardi Himal Trek is a hidden treasure and a newly opened path in the Annapurna region. Few hikers make their way to the spectacularly positioned Mardi Himal Base Camp at the foot of Mardi Himal and the stunning Machapuchhre. The trail runs through narrow twisting pathways before you ascend out of the rhododendron forest at an elevation of around 3,300 m. Mardi Himal trek provides spectacular views of the mountains of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and Manaslu. The whole path involves basic guesthouses, teahouses and homestays. If you are looking to do this trek in the winter months please check if the lodges are available.
