Saribung Peak Climbing
Saribung Peak 6,328m (20,761ft) is located in a corner of the upper Mustang area in the Damodar Himalayan range in western Nepal, near the Nepal Tibet frontier. Nepal's government only opened the peak in 2006 to ascend expeditions. In this Saribung peak climbing journey, we pursue the upper Mustang trek towards Lo manthang. Further, we explore the beautiful Luri Gompa before going off into the wilderness of Namta Khola Valley. The Saribung expedition itinerary helps you to see spectacular and unique landscapes, observe various cultures and religions. We will also trek through the Nar and Phu valleys after the successful Saribung expedition. Saribung peak climbing is a fairly simple trek to seasoned mountaineers. But passing high passes like Saribung La at over 5,600 m and Kang La at over 5,200 m is physically difficult and demanding. Wongchhu Peak Promotion has planned this Saribung Expedition including the exploration of the restricted upper Mustang area, the walled town of Lo manthang and the Nar Phu valleys, all of which are well-known and inspiring trekking destinations.
