Champadevi Hike

Champadevi Hike is one of Kathmandu Valley's popular hiking destinations, situated in the southern portion of the city of Kathmandu. This is the third-highest hill in the Kathmandu valley at 2278 meter high. It is named after the hill's patron goddess Champa Devi, who protects the forest and surrounding land. At the center is a chapel devoted to the goddess. There are two ways to hit the summit of Champadevi hill. You can either get off the Pharping or ascend straight from the MachheGaun. Champadevi hike is one of the best destinations to see Kathmandu Valley including districts Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. The Champadevi hill provides stunning eye-catching mountains and its ranges including Mt. Everest, Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, Langtang, Gaurishanker, etc. You can also see the Bagmati river, Bungamati, Khokana, Pharping, Kirtipur which are Nepal's historical sites during Champadevi Hiking. On top of this hill, there are no shops and human settlements so it is prudent to bring fruits, umbrellas, and some fast food for yourself during this hike. Champadevi day hike has been designed for those people who have very little time to spend in Nepal but want to see the Kathmandu Valley or who want to see panoramic views of many magnificent mountains or who want to go to remote places and highlands.
