Pikey Peak Trek which is recently promoted incredibly great trip in lower Everest Region can be your best choice if you are trying to find a less traveled but area that still offers some of best Nepal trekking experience in Khumbu that is close to Kathmandu, this is a splendid (less discovered) route. This short Pikey trek provides an opportunity to go to several Buddhist monuments sites such as gompas, and stupas. Whichever the route you hoose to Pikey Peak Trek; it gives wonderful views of the Numbur Himal, Mt. Everest and other mountain peak. From the Pikey peak, one can see the various spectacular mountain view over 8,000 miter including Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Manaslu, Annapurna and many other snow covered peaks. The Pikey Peak is popular for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views and one can take pleasure in the magnificent sight of the peaks beyond the Kathmandu valley to the plains along with lots of Himalayan range.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our company representative will meet and welcome you to Nepal and then you'll be transferred to your confirmed hotel. Once you finish the check-in procedure, you can rest & relax at the hotel. Later you will be accompanied by the office staff for a short tour of Thamel to make you familiar with some good restaurants, ATM's, money changer and other necessary places you might need during your stay in Thamel.
Day 2: A full day sightseeing around Kathmandu valley, the capital city
The very next morning, after breakfast you will leave for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath and the fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square reflecting the ancient Nepalese culture which is the highlights of our guided tour.
A visit to Patan City will enchant you with its famous fine arts and historical architecture. On return to your hotel, you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the famous streets. Finally, day ends with an Authentic Nepalese Dinner in Nepali Cultural Restaurant.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu - Dhap (2,850m/9,348ft) and to Khamding (2,500m/8,200ft)
After breakfast, your guide picks you from your hotel in Kathmandu. Drive to Dhap, from Kathmandu that will be around 7-8 hour. From here the road takes us into the Gangatic Plains of the Terai, 50km north of the Indian border. The route diverts from the main highway, ascending the mountainous, winding road to the trailhead, Dhap, and further we’ll drive to Khamding where we’ll stay for the night.
Day 4: Trek from Khamding to Bulbule (3,200/10,496ft)
The trek starts to fully appreciate walking through the Sherpa homeland. The day is a relaxed 6-7 hours of walking on quiet trails. Soon we reach to Japre (2,920 m/9580 ft), perched above a deep valley with nice views of Everest and Numbur Himal. There’s a pretty little gompa and stupa. We’ll have our lunch over here and walk further to our next destination where we’ll be spending our night. It’s Bulbule, and this is your stop for the night, overnight is in the quiet mountain village of Bulbule.
Day 5: Trek to Pikey Base Camp (3,640m/11,939ft)
After Breakfast our trek begins. The trail will be gradual uphill and gentle walk can reach at Lamachay village and where we can stop for lunch. After crossing stupa further zigzag steep climb for an hour through the rhododendron and pine forest. Then gentle and gradual uphill we reach to our destination Pikey B. C. There are only 4 households. It is interesting to visit cheese factory. We can view sunset and can view Langtang Peak, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and Annapurna mountains.
Day 6: Trek from Pikey Peak Base camp to Loding (2,515m/8,249ft)
Early morning for an hour and half hour steep climb reach us Pikey Peak for sunrise and can view panoramic mountain views from Manaslu to Kanchanjunga range (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Pongday, Dudhkunda, Everest, Cho Yu, Thamserko, Mera Peak, Makalu and Kanchanjunga, out of 14 highest mountains above 8000 meters peak in the world we can view 7 highest peaks from the Pikey Peak (4067 m). We can enjoy sunrise, panaromic mountain views, and villages around and can relax for couple of hours. Slowly we can walk steep downhill for two hours passing by jasmine flowers (high mountain incense). Then we can reach to Jase Bhanjyang. It is located in the valley. There are only two teahouses. We can spend the night there. Teahouses have cows and yaks so can observe handmade hard and soft cheese, butter milk, butter and yogurt.
Day 7: Trek from Loding to Phaplu (2,496m/8,186ft)
Today from Loding we will descend our trail. We follow the road though hardly see any vehicles gentle walk along the river and the beautiful views of the villages other side of the walk. After a gentle walk we can climb gradual uphill for 30 minutes take us to our final destination Phaplu. Phaplu is a small Sherpa village where we can see airport. We can enjoy and relax rest of the day.
Day 8: Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu
We will walk to the Phaplu airport from where we get on a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Our private van will be waiting for your arrival at domestic airport. On your arrival, our representative will transfer you to the hotel. You can spend the rest of the by relaxing or shopping for gifts and souvenirs. Tonight at Hotel.
Day 9: Leisure day in Kathmandu
Leisure day at Kathmandu. You can ask your guide to take you on a sightseeing trip inside Kathmandu Valley. On this day you can go to the various museums around the valley including the Narayanhiti Museum which earlier used to be the residence of the last king of Nepal. You may also go to the hilltop of Nagarkot. After some sightseeing around the world heritage sites in the valley, you will have a farewell dinner and enjoy with your Nepali friends and guide. You might even make plans for extending your stay for Chitwan jungle safari, rafting activities, and more with your guide.
Day 10: Departure
Finally, it’s SEE OFF TIME. There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos. You will be picked from Hotel by representatives of Wongchhu Peak Promotion staff and dropped at Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours earlier than your flight time with a hope to see you again. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
