Kakani is a short drive (30 mins) from Kathmandu. In the villages of Dhansar and Jurethum in Kakani district, there are two beautiful canyons, namely Phung Phunye (185 m) and Chhare(145 m). Both canyons fall in breathtaking scenery where one can view the beautiful panorama of Ganesh Himal as well as the Manaslu and Langtang regions while abseiling from the canyon. There is sufficient water flow during the season, as the region is situated at an altitude of 1,325 m from sea level which is neither cold nor hot. The best season for Canyoning in Kakani is during spring and autumn seasons. The Canyoning spot is not far from the well-known Kakani hill station popular as a picnic spot providing beautiful scenery. Besides, fishing of world-famous Japanese Trout Fish is also performed by local villagers.

Day 1: Canyoning in Kakani

Early morning gather near the tourist town of Thamel and drive to Dhansar village, walk 30 minutes to the head of the Canyon of PhungPhugye.Start Canyoning for 2-3 hours, return trek to road.Have lunch at the local resort / restaurant.Drive back & arrive in Kathmandu by 7.00 pm
