A Day at EAMSC 2023

The East Asian Medical Students Conference (EAMSC) is a yearly event that brings together medical students from across East Asia to exchange ideas and promote public health. The conference offers a platform for students to collaborate and improve health outcomes for the region through academic, cultural, and community service activities centered on a specific theme. The event has grown over time to include delegates from all AMSA member nations and provides opportunities for knowledge and cultural exchange. The EAMSC inspires future healthcare professionals to take a more active role in promoting public health.

Recently Wongchhu Peak Promotion and Makalu-e-Traders, an authorized dealer of Raeko & Nirvana had the privilege of participating in EAMSC 2023. Participating in the event on 28 Jan as a sponsor team was an unforgettable experience for us. We had the opportunity to promote the beauty and culture of Nepal to medical students from all over East Asia and share our knowledge of the best destinations and packages available. As a team, we were proud to represent Nepal and introduce its rich cultural heritages and diverse landscapes to all the attendees. The conference was an opportunity to showcase our country's tourism potential and inspire medical students to explore the beauty of Nepal. One of the highlights of our experience was sharing tips on how to prevent and deal with altitude sickness with altitude cards provided by USA-based non-profit organization, Musa Masala. As a mountainous country, Nepal is home to many of the highest peaks in the world however our goal was to promote Nepal as more than just a land of mountains. We took the opportunity to showcase some of the best tourist destinations in Nepal, including the ancient temples of Kathmandu, and the lush jungles of Chitwan National Park. We highlighted the diverse experiences that Nepal has to offer, from trekking and mountaineering to cultural tours and wildlife sightings. 

In conclusion, participating in the EAMSC as one of the sponsors was an incredible experience. It allowed us to share the beauty and culture of Nepal with medical students from across East Asia, and to promote the country as a unique and exciting travel destination. We look forward to participating in future events and promoting the tourism potential of Nepal to the world.
