Mt. Annapurna I Expedition

Annapurna I Main is the tenth highest mountain in the world at 8,091 metres (26,545 ft) above sea level, and in 1950 Maurice Herzog led a French expedition to its summit, making it the first of the eight-thousanders to be climbed.

Wongchhu Peak Promotion provides a comprehensive service organizing all necessary permits, climbing documentation, logistics including airfares, ground transportation, porters, food along the trek and other individual services required by clients. Wongchhu Peak advises clients to use a personal climbing Sherpa guide (which we will provide) to help you reach the summit. Your personal climbing Sherpa will set up camp I, camp II and camp III with food provisions, fuel and oxygen as well as guide the climber to summit.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our company representative will meet and welcome you to Nepal and then you'll be transferred to your confirmed hotel. Once you finish the check-in procedure, you can rest & relax at the hotel. Later you will be accompained by the office staff for a short tour of Thamel to make you familiar with some good restaurants, ATMs, money changer and other necessary places you might need during your stay in Thamel.

The very next morning, after breakfast you will leave for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath and the fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square reflecting the ancient Nepalese culture which is the highlights of our guided tour. A visit to Patan City will enchant you with its famous fine arts and historical architecture. On return to your hotel, you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the famous streets.

We spend a day preparing the final documents, gears & equipment check and so on. You can go for final shopping if something is missed before leaving out for the mountain.

Wonderful drive along the rivers in the mid-hill region highway. The highway normally is narrow with many bends thus drive takes a long time. Overnight at Lodge.

We trek to Tatopani. Tatopani is the most popular place for hot spring in the river bank of Kali Gandaki. People believe that bathing in the pool of hot spring helps to cure many skin diseases. Overnight at Hotel.

We walk along the river Kali Gandaki passing various smaller streams. Ghasa is taken as the deepest gorge of the world. Two of the 8000m high peak Dhaulagiri in the left side & Annapurna I on the right side stood very high making this place the deepest gorge in the world. Overnight in Lodge

From Ghasa we trek to Lete. The trail climbs gradually uphill again in the side of river Kali Gandaki. The walking is beautiful in the pine forest with a beautiful view of some Mountain Range. Overnight in Lodge.

Today, we trek to Thulo Bugin & stay in the tented camp.

We trek to Thulo Bugin Pass & then stay overnight in tent camped at the river bank.

We trek to Mristi Khola after lunch & overnight stay in tent at the river bank.

Trekking up to Annapurna Base Camp & overnight in tent.

We take these days as climbing period where we set up various camps to climb the Annapurna I. Our sherpa, crew & staff takecare of all the tentes camps, meals, climbing & so on. Likewise, we acclimatize properly and make a successful ascent to summit and return back to basecamp safely.

We spend a day cleaninig up the camp site.

We start our descend to Thulo Bugin after our summit. Overnight in Tent.

Trek down to Lete & overnight in Lodge.

We walk to Tukuche or Marpha along the river Kali Gandaki. The trail is beautiful in the river's sandy beach. The view of Tukuche Peak, Dhampus Peak, Dhaulagiri & Annapurna is stunning. Overnight in Hotel.

From Tukuche or Marpha, we walk to Jomsom which is short walk. Enjoy the beautiful scenery around the Jomsom.

Early in the morning fly to Pokhara. You'll be flying above the world's deepest gorge. Explore Pokhara & overnight in Hotel.

Fly back to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel & enjoy your day.

Leisure day at Kathmandu followed by farewell dinner & celebration.

As per your flight schedule you'll be dropped to airport 3 hours prior to the flight time and your trip to Nepal ends here.
