Pisang Peak Climbing is a pyramidal trekking peak above Pisang, a village on the Annapurna Circuit, within the Manang District, northern Nepal. It was first climbed by a German Expedition in 1955.Pisang peak is situated in the Annapurna region near the beautiful Buddhist village of Manang. Pisang Peak Climbing can be well combined with the popular Annapurna circuit trek to make a very satisfying Himalayan trek and climbing adventure in a single trip.
Climbing Pisang peak is not considered a difficult climb; however it is a high peak with considerable slope, so not to be over simplified. The peak rises above the upper Pisang village and Yak grazing meadow in a uniform slope of ice and snow.
Pisang Peak climbing in Nepal is famous as one of the most beautiful but slightly technical peak climbing in Nepal among adventure madness. The summit of Pisang Peak actually have the true views of Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna, Glacier Down, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Manang Valley, encompassing region and other accompanied mountains.
The western flank of Pisang Peak has hanging glacier and encounters a considerable challenge. The western end of the Peak has huge rock slab make some obstacles during our climb to the summit. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. (1300m)
In your arrival at the Tribhuvan International airport the representative of Wongchhu Peak Promotions staff will be giving you warm welcome in adventurous Himalayan country Nepal. Then, you are dropped to hotel where you will take a rest and in evening there will be short briefing with all the entire trekking members, guide, sherpa’s about the day to day trek then we will move for welcome dinner.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and preparation day for the trek.
After having breakfast you will be introduced with your city tour guide. He will be explaining you all about the history of heritage sites and help you to get knowledge about those sites. And then, you will visit the heritage sites of Kathmandu. In the morning you visit the Boudhanath sputa- the oldest Buddhist stupa. Then you visit the oldest Hindu temple of Pashupatinath. After that you head to another Buddhist stupa Swayambhunath which is located in the hillock. From there you can observe the 360 degree view of the Kathmandu valley. After that you have a lunch. Then you prepare for the trekking.
Day 03: Drive to Jagat 1,290 m via Bhesisar 800 m – 08 hrs.
Pisang Peak Climb adventure begins with an exciting drive towards Nepal’s Mid West around Lamjung and Manang region as the drive leads towards high hills of with views of Manaslu and Annapurna mountain and rolling green hills, passing through many farm villages and towns to reach at Bhesisar town, headquarter of Lamjung district, from here taking another vehicle for short drive to Jagat village following the raging Marysangdi River to reach our first overnight stop at nice small farm village of Jagat.
Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m – 05 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,670 m – 05 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3, 230 m – 05 hrs.
Day 07: At Pisang rest day for acclimatization.
Day 08: Trek to Pisang Peak Base Camp at 4,380 m – 05 hrs.
Day 09: Trek and climb to High Camp at 5,400m.
Day 10: Climb of Pisang peak and return to BC or to Pisang village.
Day 11: Reserve day in case of unfavorable bad weather condition.
Day 12: Trek to Manang Village 3,450 m – 05 hrs.
Day 13: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m – 04 hrs.
Day 14: Trek to Thorong High Camp 4,600 m – 04 hrs.
Day 15: Cross Thorong-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m – 07 hrs.
Day 16: Trek to Jomsom 2, 715 m – 04 hours.
Day 17: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara 860 m – 25 mins flight.
Day 18: Drive back to Kathmandu – 06 hrs
Day 19: Final departure for Home
Finally, after having so much of travelling and exploring the natural beauty of Nepal you will head back to your sweet home. You will be dropped to International airport by Wongchhu Peak Promotional representative.
