Kanchanjunga (8586 m), the world’s third largest peak lies in this regionThis is one of the more religious treks in the eastern part of Nepal. This trek lies in Taplejung district.Taplejung is one of the most beautiful areas in eastern Nepal with spectacular landscape, Himalayan peak of heights above 7000 m and a wide range of flora and fauna. Mt. Kanchanjunga (8586 m), the world’s third largest peak lies in this region. Pathibhara goddess is worshiped by both Hindu and Buddhist followers. Local people believe that Pathibhara Devi is a wish-fulfilling goddess. Mainly those who do not have a son worship her as there is a common belief that she gives a son and wealth.The trek to Pathibhara Devi (3794 m) combined with the natural and cultural experiences of the region make the visit a unique exhilarating experience.
It is best to do this tour in March, April, May, September, October, November, and December. You will also know about the outline of the culture of Limbu as you pass through the villages and spend your nights. The monasteries that you visit in Olangchung Gola are beautiful, and the waterfall that you see at Sawa and the pond of Timbung are awe-inspiring. The eco-system of this region has been well-preserved, and you will also find it intact as you see different species of birds. Walking in this region is exciting.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our company representative picks you up and transfers you to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: A full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley, the capital city
The very next morning, after breakfast you will leave for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath and the fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square reflecting the ancient Nepalese culture which is the highlights of our guided tour.
A visit to Patan City will enchant you with its famous fine arts and historical architecture. On return to your hotel, you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the famous streets.
Day 3: Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur & drive to Illam
We will take a morning flight from Kathmandu to Birtamod. While on the flight you can enjoy the majestic views of the mighty Himalayas as well as the plain Terai of Nepal. Once we arrive in the airport we will be travelling towards Illam via private vehicle.
Ilam attracts many researchers who come to study rare birds and the Red Panda. Ilam stretches from the Terai belt to the upper hilly belt of this Himalayan nation.
ILAM TEA is very famous and is exported to many parts of Europe. The main source of income in this district is tea, cardamom, milk, ginger, potato, orlon, and broom production on a large scale.
This place also has a religious importance. The devi temples have a great importance attached to them and many people come here just for pilgrimage. One the way to Illam you’ll be able explore Tea gardens too. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Drive from Illam to Taplejung and trek to thulophedi via Kaflepati
Early in the morning we start our drive towards Kaflepati via Taplejung and finally start our trekiing towards Thulophedi. The trekking route today passes through lush mid hills and several villages with traditional mud-brick houses. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Trek from Thulophedi to Pathibhara temple and trek back to Thulophedi
Trek from Phedi to Pathibhara and it takes about three hours. On the same day you trek back to Phedi which takes almost two and half hours. You visit Pathibhara devi. On the way you can encounter various species of birds. From Pathibhara you can enjoy mountain views and sceneries. Overnight at Thulophedi
Day 06: Trek from Thulophedi to Suketar
Trek from Phedi to Suketar which takes about five hours. On the way you observe surroundings and local lifestyle. You visit local monastery. Moreover you can taste local drinks and food.
Day 07: Fly from Suketar to Kathmandu
Finally we fly from Suketar to Kathmanu. The flight is takes about 1 hour.
Day 08: Leisure day at Kathmandu
This is the free day and you can use it for your shopping .In the evening we will drive you for farewell dinner with cultural dance.
Day 09: Final departure to the international airport
Finally it’s SEE OFF TIME. Today is free or last minute you have few hours unique shopping for your relatives. We will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and wish for your Safe journey.
