Mera Peak Climbing takes us to the summit of Mera Peak (6,461m/21,190ft) which is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. We ascend Mera Peak preferably during the spring and autumn seasons as it’s the best time to climb the mountain for its astonishing views of the Himalayan Vista. Five 8,000m peaks are visible from the summit including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Kanchenjunga. Mera Peak climbing is suitable for all fit trekkers who dare to dream of standing on a Himalayan summit. It is also best for all experienced trekkers looking for an exciting expedition style tented camping trek and climbing trip in Nepal.
Mera Peak climbing is an excellent option for anyone with moderate mountaineering experience. It is a challenging trekking peak due to its elevation, but the technical mountaineering skills requirement is very basic. Besides, Wongchhu Peak Promotion seasoned Sherpa guide will provide us with a basic mountaineering training before the actual summit.

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu Airport
Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital and cultural hub of Nepal! We’ll be waiting with a warm greeting and easy transfer to your hotel. Plan on an evening briefing on last-minute specifics about your trek and an early lights-out: you have a big day ahead.
Day 02: Preparation day for Trip and sightseeing in heritage site
You will visit the heritage site such as boudhanath, pashupatinath and swayambhunath. This Day we will check our climbing gears. You will be introduced with climbing guide and other staff. You will be taken to shops if you forget to bring any gears.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Paiya (Chutok) (2730m):3-4 hrs
We will have early flight to Lukla Airport. As we land there we will start our trek towards Paiya. As we move few hours ahead we will reach Surke village where we will be passing through woods, forest and small bridges. Todays destination will be Paiya so after few more hours across chutokla pass we will reach small village; Paiya.Overnight in Paiya.
Day 04: Paiya to Pangom (2850m): 5-6 hrs
This morning as we have our breakfast we will pass across karila pass, On the way we will encounter small villages and small forests. We walk through rhododendron and bamboo forests on a narrow mountain trail.Today we will trek up to Pangom. We will be passing near byDhudhkoshi River too and overnight at Pangom.
Day 05: Pangom to Ngingso (Shibuche)(2745m): 4-5 hrs
As always our Trek starts only after a good breakfast. We will leave Pangom early and pass across pangomla pass. The trail is mizture of small ascends and descends. This Day we will stay at Nginso. We will be passing through Pinkharka hill and NingsowKhola. Overnight at Ngingso.
Day 06: Nngingso (Shibuche) to Chhatrakhola (3150m): 7-8 hrs
Today we will be passing through ramailoDanda. The Way will be as usual with mixture of mall up and down. You will have sight of Mt. Mera from this Ramailo Hill. As we walk few hours ahead we will enter Makalu Barun National Park. Then we will walk through PassangLhamu trail and then reach a small area nearby a river; Chhatra. so as it is named as Chattrakhola. Overnight stay here.
Day 07: Chhatrakhola to Kothe (3600m): 6-7 hrs
As we will end our breakfast, we will start small climb from Chattrakhola. As we walk for few hour we will reach at a place called Toktor. We will have our lunch here. Then after finishing our Lunch we will slightly descend and go straight and reach a place called Kothe.
Day 08: Kothe to Taknang (4,350m): 3-4 hrs
Kothe also lies nearby river. We will walk through the bank of the river untill we reach Taknang. On the way we will reach LungsambaGomba. As we reach there we will go straight forward and reach Taknang after few hours. Overnight stay at Taknang.
Day 09:Taknang to Khare
After we finish our breakfast at Taknang we will walk slight uphill. After around 2 hours we will reach a place called Dig kharka. With slight uphill from Dig Kharka we will reach Khare. Amazing north face of Mera can be seen. Overnight stay at Khare.
Day 10: Acclimatization Day at Khare
This Day we will have acclimatization Day, which is usually a stay at same altitude to stay safe from high altitude problem. Today we will climb about 500m. We will be back to Khare to have our lunch.As we finish our lunch, we will prepare for our Climb. We will check all our gears and our Guide will give you training on climbing. He will give you instruction on how to use the gears and so on.
Day 11: Khare toMera Base Camp (5300m): 3-4 hrs
We will walk through Rocky way. As we walk for around 2-3 hours we will reach at Mera Base Camp. This Day there will not be tea house facility. We will be staying in tent.
Day 12: Mera Base Camp to High camp (5,780m): 4-5 hrs
As we finish our first night in our Tent. We will have breakfast and walk ahead to High Camp. It will take around 2-3 hours. We will be passing through snow all way up to High Camp. Overnight Stay at High Camp.
Day 13: Mera High Camp to Summit(6,461m) and back to Khare (5045m): 8-9 hrs
This Day we will make our summit in the morning. We will have our breakfast at midnight, waking at around 1 am. We will start our climb to Peak at around 2 pm. It will take 5-6hrs to make our Peak. As we finish our Summit we will come down to High Camp and rest there for couple of hours. We will have soup or something for lunch and then walk back to Khare. Overnight Stay at khare.
Day 14: Khare to Kothe (3600m): 4-5 hrs
This Day we will descend down to Kothe from the same path we had ascend
Day 15: Kothe to ThuliKharka: 5-6 hrs
As we finish our Breakfast at Kothe we will head down towards ThuliKharka. Until we reach Taktor we will descend and then pass through the woods and jungle until we reach ThuliKharka. Overnight stay here.
Day 16: ThuliKharka to Lukla: 6-7 hrs
As always after finishing our breakfast we will climb steep upward for around 2 hours. We will pass through Chatrala Pass and come all the way down to Lukla.
Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu
Early morning we take a flight to Kathmandu. You will be Taken to your hotel.
Day 18: Free Day in Kathmandu
This Day will be free day for you. You can visit around the city and do shopping and other things if you want.
Day 19: Final Departure
Finally it’s SEE OFF TIME. Today is free or last minute you have few hours unique shopping for your relatives. We will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and wish for your Safe journey.
