Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is undoubtedly one of the most popular and exciting trekking trail stretching from Kali Gandaki in the west to the Marshyangdi in the east. Mt. Annapurna stands toweringly at an elevation of 8,091 m approx and is the tenth highest mountain in the world. It offers close encounter with the Himalayas, offering a fantastic view of snow-capped mountains with a landscape of terraced fields and other snow capped mountain peaks. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking offers a sublime and diverse natural wonders as it traverses through waterfalls, villages, farmlands, rhododendron forests, and mountain vistas. Infinite numbers of people throng in year after year to experience this wonderful circuit and its tranquil beauty.
Annapurna Base Camp Trekking commences from picturesque city of Pokhara. The trail leads us through diverse and wonderful villages inhabited by Nepal’s indigenous ethnic communities comprising of Magars, Gurungs and Thakali’s, with a courteous approach. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking passes through a diverse geographical and cultural variation with amazing ranges of flora and fauna. From here we move further towards the dense rhododendron forest amidst the snowy background poses a scintillating experience to be basked under. By trekking further we cover a fair amount of distance before we reach Ghorepani, a place renowned for breathtaking sunrise complimenting the glimmering sunlight trickling through the crevices over the snow-capped mountains is a moment to watch. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is one of those regions which nestles varied wildlife and endangered animals obliging these vast landscapes such as the blue sheep, snow leopards, tigers, Himalayan Thar along with various other bird species of multicolored Impheyan, koklas and blood pheasants make this place a contrasting paradise.
Annapurna Base Camp Trekking can be best attempted from the month of September to November and March to May. Equipments needed during the trek are: Sleeping bag, Trekking boots, Sun hat, Trekking polls, Torch light, Sleepers, Down Jacket, Coat against rain and wind, Daily wearing cloths, Enough warm cloths, Cream against cold and sun, Hand gloves, some pair woolen socks

Day 01: Arrive in the Kathmandu (1300m)
Your journey will start from the Kathmandu Valley. When you arrive at the Kathmandu Airport, our representative Wongchhu Peak Promotion (WPP) will welcome you and he/she will drop you at the hotel so that you can relax and take rest in the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley:
After morning breakfast Wongchhu Peak Promotion will introduce you with your tour guide and he will pick you from respective hotel for an interesting tour of Swayambhunath Stupa located on a hill top, with fabulous views of Kathmandu city, green hills that surrounds the valley and of high snow capped mountains.
Swayambhunath one of the oldest historical sites listed in world heritage of more than 2,5000 years old Buddhist religious complex with huge dome shape stupa with four mystical eyes of Buddha overlooking four directions North, South, East and West. After an impressive tour visiting the monastery and small chapels this place surrounded with green forest with many monkeys around and this place is also known as “Monkey Temple”.
Next nice tour leads towards east of Kathmandu city at Pashupatinath Temple area, tourist or non Hindu are not allowed inside the main temple, however one can overlook the temple from the bank of Bagmati river the holy and famous Shiva temple with golden pagoda tier roofs and four silver doors surrounded with lovely forest with many monkeys around. This place is flooded in the mid February on Shiva Ratri (birth anniversary of lord Shiva). Nearby on the opposite bank of the river funeral and cremation takes places for all Hindu religion.
Then after drive towards north east reaching at Bouddhanath Stupa also called as “Little Tibet” due to strong Tibetan influence in culture, traditions and Buddhist religion, Bouddhanath a huge dome with tow tier where one can walk up near the top with nice views of surrounding Bouddhanath area with shop, stores, restaurants and monasteries.
After a fascinating and lovely historical and cultural tour return back to respective hotels. Then take rest for a while and in evening you will meet with your trekking guide and representative from Wongchhu Peak Promotion (WPP) office for short briefing before your trip because you should know all the essential factors and places before going to the trek.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu, 7/8 hours.
Today, we drive to Pokhara in luxurious tourist bus eye sightseeing through the attractive scene of Nepalese countryside like Muglin, Gorkha- Manakamana, Pokhara-Prithiv Narayan chowk, bus station, lakeside of Pokhara. These country sides offer the various vegetations, green forest, rivers, narrow, congested, roundabout roads and very beautiful green hills. After reaching Pokhara (840m.) the representative of Destination Himalaya trek relocate you to the hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (990m.) and hike to Tikhedhunga (1540m.), 3/4 hours walk
In the clear morning attractive snow-white mountain allure you. With the various heart-stealing views of snowy walls and mountain your trek leads to the Nayapul. Around two hours drive you reach in Nayapul, Lake City of Pokhara. With the glance of Birethanti, we start to walk through the bank of Modi Khola/River. Indeed, pine forest, rhododendron, rural community belongs to ethnics groups with the beautiful sight of lowland rice fields. We stay overnight at Tikhedhunga.
Day 05: Hike to Ghorepani (2850m.), 3/4 hours walk
Today also we start our trek after the breakfast. Our long uphill from the Tikhe Dhunga will be started and continued until arrived at Ulleri village. The long stone steps trail offers you a range of exiting landscape and Himalayan vista. This ascending is a little bit difficult. This day we pass through the rhododendron forest, beautiful villages exploring various types of flora and fauna. You also enjoy the majestic views of the mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and many more.
Day 06: Trek to Poon Hill and Tadapani (2660m.), 3/4 hours walk
In the morning, we go up to Poon Hill to see the view of sunrise in the snow clad mountains over The Himalaya. Besides, the glimpse of Himalaya range of Dolpo, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri come in front of your eyes. After sometime we return back to the Ghorepani and trek to Tadapani, which lies 300 miters down from Ghorepani. In the process of descending down to Tadapani, we pass through the dense forest where we encounter monkeys, birds and other wild animals.
Day 07: Trek Tadapani to Chomrong (2140m.), 4/5 hours walk
In our day, the trek starts from Tadapani, in earlier we step down to Chomrong which is situated on the lap of Giant Mountain in a step path. One the way, we cross the suspension bridge lies over Kimrong Khola, which offers you to see the upper Modi valley. Passing through the dense forest following the west bank of the Modi Khola we reach in Chhomrong. The altitude of Chhomrong is 2210m.
Day 08: Trek to Dovan (2600m.) from Chhomrong, 3/4 hours walk
Today our destination will be in Dovan, which is 400 miters high than Chhomrong. The altitude between them shows we have to walk uphill but in actually we start our trek to downhill. After crossing Chhomrong Khola we go up to the hill through upper Modi Khola valley. To reach Dovan we also cross the Khuldighar.
Day 09: Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m.), 3/4 hours walk
Our beginning will be same like previous days. After breakfast we climb up to Machhapuchhre base camp (3770m.) by crossing Himalaya Hotel, Hinku cave, Deurali where Modi Khola flows indifferently. From the base camp you can see the tallest mountain watching you from the top. From there we can view the surrounding snowcapped mountains including Machhapuchhre, Annapurna etc.
Day 10: Trek to Annapurna base camp (4110m.), 5/6 hours walk
We trek to Annapurna bas camp from the Machhapuchhre base camp. Gradually, we trek ascending path to the Annapurna base camp. This place is also called the Annapurna sanctuary because it is surrounded by the snow clad mountains. From there we enjoy the amazing view of the glaciers and mountains including Mt. Annapurna. You can spend you whole day by watching the tantalizing mountains with the full of snows.
Day 11: Annapurna base camp to Bamboo (2300m.), 4/5 hours walk
After completing our mission we return back to Bamboo. But, in the morning the base camp has covered by the rays of sunrise that give you the life dream satisfaction. Comparatively, you can walk easily when we descend down. This day we return back to Bamboo in a gradual descending path. We retrace our previous route.
Day 12: Back to Jhinu Danda (1780m.), 3/4 hours walk
Jhnu Danda is famous for hot spring and takes bath. After breakfast in morning at Bamboo, we walk downhill. The Khuldi Ghar, Sinuwa hill add the inspiration in your explore able trekking of Annapurna base camp.
Day 13: Trek to Pokhara valley, 6/7 hours walk
After 10 days, the worldwide trekking mission Pokhara will be your destination. Little bit long hour walking from Jhinu Danda Landruik village can meet. The Modi Khola again follows you. Syauli Bazaar also welcomes you in your trekking, when you descend down. Finally you will be arrived at Pokhara.
Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Early in the morning we catch tourist bus and drive back to Kathmandu via Prithivi highway. It takes 7/ 8 hours to arrive at Kathmandu. You can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu by domestic airlines. After arriving Kathmandu, you can visit any place whatever you are intended to. In evening, the farewell dinner will be held.
Day 15 – Leisure Day and Farewell Dinner in Kathmandu
This will be a spare day in Kathmandu after the tiring trekking program. You have the option to extend your trip. You can continue onto Chitwan jungle safari, rafting adventure, Kathmandu valley shopping tour, and scenic Everest flight, mountain biking and other activities. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances.
Day16: Departure to Home:
Finally it’s SEE OFF TIME. You will be picked from Hotel by representatives of Wongchhu Peak Promotion staff and dropped at Tribhuvan International Airport.
